Standard Chartered Ultimate

By /

In September 2017, Standard Chartered introduced the Ultimate credit card. It is now the bank’s most expensive card. It ought to be the credit card of choice for those with high incomes who wish to live a luxurious lifestyle without having to make any sacrifices. This card directly competes with the HDFC Bank Infinia Metal Edition credit card and the ICICI Bank Sapphiro credit card.

The Visa Infinite and MasterCard World variations of the card were once available; the former has since been discontinued. Because it’s a premium card, Standard Chartered provides some of the most unique privileges to its users, including a membership to Dreamfolks, golf services, and 24 hour concierge service.

Standard Chartered has also kept the foreign exchange rate at 2% (less than the industry average of 3.5%) and offers 5% cashback on duty-free purchases made at airports, taking into account all of its clients’ international travel needs. Being a credit card with reward points, you receive 5 Rewards for every Rs. 150 you spend with it. These Rewards may be exchanged for gift cards to stores or donations to charities through the Standard Chartered 360° rewards program.

Benefits :

  • Welcome Benefits: After paying the card’s membership fee, you’ll receive 6,000 bonus reward points, valued at Rs. 6,000. Please take Note that the bank receives payment of the membership fee and credits the reward points within 60 days.
  • 5 Reward points are offered for every Rs. 150 spent with this credit card. Take note that 1 reward point equals 1 Re. Consequently, you can utilize this function to its fullest potential.
  • Travel Benefits: Using this card, you can take advantage of the following travel benefits:

– low 2% foreign currency markup on overseas purchases

– Duty-free purchases earn 5% cashback.

– Worldwide access to more than 1000 airport lounges

  • Benefits for golfers include access to top golf courses in India with the Standard Chartered Ultimate card. Each month, you are entitled to one free round of golf.

Rewards :

  • For every Rs. 150 spent on retail transactions made with the card, you receive 5 RPs.
  • Additionally, duty-free purchases made at airports are eligible for a 5% reward with a monthly limit of Rs. 1,000.
  • EMI transactions and transactions that provide you a rebate do not earn you any reward points.

Rewards Redemption:

  • Under the Standard Chartered online portal’s 360° rewards program, you may exchange your reward points for charity donations and shopping vouchers from well-known retailers like Nykaa, Croma, Shoppers Stop, etc.
  • For this card, 1 RP is equivalent to Re.
  • After three years from the date of accumulation, these earned Rewards become inactive.

Fuel Surcharge:

  • At all gas stations in India, there is a 1% fuel fee that is in effect (not waived). The Standard Chartered Ultimate card, in contrast to other credit cards, allows you to earn reward points even for fuel purchases (5 points for every Rs. 150 spent).

Credit Card Eligibility:

  • You must be between the ages of 21 and 65.
  • You must have a reliable income source (gross monthly income of Rs. 2,00,000).
  • You ought to have a respectable credit rating.

Documents Required :

  • Proof of residence
  • Proof of Identity
  • Colour photograph
  • Latest payslip/Form 16/IT return copy as proof of income
  • PAN card photocopy or Form 60

Conclusion:

The Standard Chartered Ultimate credit card offers benefits like 16 domestic lounge access, free Dreamfolks membership, cashback on purchases made at duty-free shops in airports, and air accident insurance cover, making it a good choice for HNIs (High Net-worth Individuals) who travel frequently and want to live a luxurious lifestyle. Additionally, you receive deluxe benefits like coaching sessions, golf games, and concierge service. We believe that this card provides HDFC Bank Infinia credit card with some strong competition.
